Policy Language
Bachelor of Science program curriculum will be structured to include 30 hours of general education requirements and UNIV 101/104, 12 hours of Christian Life and Thought, and a uniform number of courses in the major across delivery formats. When a program is offered in both residential and distance education (online) format, the degree requirements will be identical in number of courses and rigor. Other undergraduate-level programs must conform to the University’s adopted standards for general education and Christian Life and Thought and must demonstrate uniformity in number of courses and rigor of requirements.
*Some slight variance may be introduced by requirements that may be satisfied by exam, such as INFT coursework, or by waiving/completion of requirements based on other adopted policies such as Prior Learning Assessment.
Policy Rationale
To maintain the quality, integrity, and rigor of all Liberty University undergraduate degrees.
