All complaints may be directed to the Dean of Students Office via telephone (434-582-2687), email or by visiting the office located in Green Hall, Room 1830.
The formal procedures are intended to ensure that all formal complaints are addressed fairly, consistently and, wherever possible, resolved to the complainant’s satisfaction.
Definition of Glossary Terms
The complainant will be encouraged to complete an official “Statement of Record” detailing the information relevant to his/her complaint. The Dean of Students or Vice President for Student Affairs and/or his designated representative will review the complaint and, if necessary, the Dean of Students will direct the complaint to the appropriate University department for official investigation and appropriate follow-up.
Dependent upon the discretion of Senior Vice President or executive over the respective area.
