184.108.40.206 Institutional Scholarship Appeal Process
Students seeking an extension or adjustment to institutional scholarships that no longer fit the stated guidelines must submit an appeal to the Financial Aid Office.
This policy is in place to ensure proper use and disbursement of institutional aid.
Definition of Glossary Terms
Scholarship: Financial aid that does not have to be repaid. Scholarships may be received from Liberty University or an external organization. In order to be eligible for Liberty scholarships, the student must have a complete and verified FAFSA on file annually.
Institutional Scholarship Appeal Process
A student may appeal the decision to cancel eligibility for a scholarship by sending a detailed, signed letter stating any mitigating circumstances to be considered. The Financial Aid Scholarship Appeals Committee reviews the submitted appeal and supporting documentation. The students will be notified of the decision in writing within 30 days.
