Each semester the Graduate and Undergraduate Administrative Deans will receive Grade Distribution reports from the Registrar's Office - Administration Management.

The Grade Distribution report will include grade distribution data for the following areas:
- All Undergraduate Residential Courses
- All Undergraduate Online Courses
- All Graduate Residential Courses
- All Graduate Online Courses

Policy Rationale

This policy ensures that the Academic Administrative leadership are actively engaged in course development and learning outcomes for students. This policy allows the Administrative Leadership to review student success rates, identify problematic courses for redevelopment, and ensure that faculty are actively engaged in the learning outcomes and grading of their students.

Procedures

The Administrative Deans will review the Grade Distribution data to analyze trends for courses and programs. The Administrative Deans will make recommendations for particular courses and programs that have trends that show areas of growth or areas needing development. Once a trend is identified, the Administrative Deans will collaborate with the Office of the Provost, the Department Associate Dean, and the Center for Curriculum Development to make the necessary adjustments to ensure student success or to gather helpful information to apply to other courses within the University
