All complaints may be directed to the Dean of Students Office via telephone (434-582-2687), email or by visiting the office located in Green Hall, Room 1830.

Policy Rationale:

The formal procedures are intended to ensure that all formal complaints are addressed fairly, consistently and, wherever possible, resolved to the complainant’s satisfaction.

Implementation Description:

Procedures:

The complainant will be encouraged to complete an official “Statement of Record” detailing the information relevant to his/her complaint. The Dean of Students or Vice President for Student Affairs and/or his designated representative will review the complaint and, if necesary, the Dean of Students will direct the complaint to the appropriate University department for official investigation and appropriate follow-up.

Sanctions:

Dependent upon the discreation of Senior Vice President or executive over the respective area.

Exceptions:

None
